Overall Responsibilities:
PCG is seeking highly motivated and dependable Software Engineer with an interest in public service to develop and maintain software systems for the San Diego CalWORKs/Refugee/Child Care Payments Project for San Diego County. This person will be responsible for developing case management and reporting systems that assist staff in managing their workload and provide them with the ability to generate reports.
Responsibilities:
Identify software system requirements for the County, Corporate, project management, and sta Develop and maintain a case management and reporting system that will allow staff in TANF programs to measure and report performance Develop queries and reports to extract data for client and departmental needs Collaborate with staff, users and management to develop requirements for new features and updates to existing features, and communicate system changes effectively Determine opportunities to streamline manual processes and develop automated systems to facilitate operations and performance monitoring Manage software development lifecycle (requirements, build, test, deploy) Create visualization for forecasting and business analytics Qualifications Required Skills:
Demonstrate strong expertise in Access, MS Word, Excel, Internet, SQL server, SQL reporting skills Process oriented and results-driven work strategy Ability to work with staff and demonstrate active listening skills Ability to work across all levels of management and staff Display a professionalism and respect for cultural differences Proper etiquette including customer relation techniques, superior verbal and communications skills Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and in a team environment Understand data and make logical decisions about trend analysis and reports that would be useful for management purposes Ability to manage subcontractors time and activities Ability to troubleshoot computer problems experiences by local staff, in coordination with the PCG IT Help Desk Required
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field preferred or Associate's degree with relevant work experience 2 years experience as a developer utilizing SQL Server and Microsoft .NET technologies Strong skills developing in SQL Server 2008/2012 Integration and Reporting Services Experience with SAP Business Objects a plus #LI-KG1
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
