Job Designation The Quality Manager (QM) provides general supervision and technical guidance to the Quality Assurance team. Ensures all products and services meet both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations. QM owns and sustain the Quality Management System in line with the required industry standards (including:
AS9100, ISO 14001 / ISO 9001/ NADCAP), accreditation requirements and business requirements across the organization through existing and new procedures. The QM will lead both 3rd party and internal audits and work closely with other functions in support of operations and production. The successful candidate will engage on both a tactical and strategic level focusing on quality, continuous improvement processes. This position reports to the Director of Quality. Job Core Responsibilities o Reviews customer requirements and ensures they are met o Implements quality improvement activities as appropriate (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) to raise the performance of the unit's products o Suggests methods for improving product quality, design, or manufacturing processes and facilitates process improvement initiatives o Develops systems, methods to measure, monitors processes and products to assure compliant product o Maintains conformance with AS9100, National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP). o Maintains Corrective Action System and ensure that all nonconformities raised against certification bodies o Maintains Document Control System. o Leads Internal and external audits. o Reports Quality Metrics relative to Site Goal Targets. o Ensures effective root cause analysis and closed loop corrective actions at a systematic level. o Monitors the completion of tasks and ensures good performance and recordkeeping on appropriate systems during audits to ensure they are effective and independently verified. o Embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the company. o Lead the team to achieve quality management system targets for customers and business goals. o Works collaboratively with internal and external customers to ensure quality requirement alignment, proper flow-down through the organization and compliance to customers' requirements. o Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations Job Specifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline. Years
Experience:
7
years' experience in a quality system management role Skills :
o Solid analytical skills and judgment to proactively identify and solve increasingly complex problems o Experience with Quality systems, ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP etc. o Knowledge and experience in the effective use of Root Cause Corrective Action, containment and analysis process and tools. o Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations o Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively persuade and influence through positive communication with stakeholders, team members, suppliers, management. o Strong background in configuration management. o Strong background in six sigma tools and methodologies (i.e. lean, Kaizen, Design of Experiments (DOE), Measurement System Analysis(MSA), Failure Mode Effects Analysis(FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) etc).
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Quality ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
