The Manager Design Systems Engineering is a critical role in our Product Development organization. This key leader serves as engineering manager for our Design System team--enabling the design system engineers to achieve their highest level of performance and to fulfill career goals. S/he acts as a servant leader and shelters the team from external distractions, allowing team members to focus on their commitments and reach their full potential. This position requires commitment to exceptional results, a strong desire for continuous improvement and the ability to build a collaborative culture within the product team. UX organized as a central partnership supporting Product & Technology while contributing to a growing design system and pattern library. Dedicated Design Systems team committed to supporting the latest component and pattern development. Demonstrate a proven track record of increasing team's velocity and providing visibility across the organization through facilitation of routines, removing impediments, and enabling the team to be their best. Develop and implement measurable continuous improvement plans and manage dependencies across product teams/business. Effectively manage production issues and communicate business impact to stakeholders. Instill an unwavering commitment to quality by enabling the best practices for quality during development, especially with respect to client facing delivery and front-end development. Establish emerging standards in the front-end while promoting best practices to push the limits of what's possible Advocate and evangelize to engineering community and stakeholders for product teams to consume the design system components to realize designs that shape the user experience. Support a connection with users of the system, gathering feedback, sharing knowledge, and supporting the implementation of the Design System Nourish a collaborative environment with a willingness to share ideas, where open and honest feedback flourishes. Facilitate longer-term career plans with each member of the team, and found opportunities for team members to fulfill those goals. Requirements:
Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in creating patterns to create engaging, multi-platform user experiences in building applications and in a SaaS web development environment. Experience directly managing Software and QA engineers in a DevOps type environment. Deep understanding of component-based architecture within front-end frameworks including React and Angular Advanced understanding in:
writing semantic, compliant, and accessible HTML; writing modular and maintainable CSS using pre and post-processors. Competency in understanding vanilla client-side JavaScript Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated ability to deliver and iterate on valuable user experiences through a design system Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture and developer tools, strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technology, or equivalent experience. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), a plus. Soft Skills:

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $116,296 - $170,000 /year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
