With tools and guidance to sharpen your skills, you can forge your own career path, love what you do, and let it show Job Overview As a Waste and Diversion Manager, you assist the Sr. Manager and various departments with nearly all aspects of waste and recycle management. Here are the roles you'll play:
Roles You Will Play The Tab Keeper Provide support, troubleshooting, customer service, and evaluations for all waste and recycle programs Oversee the performance of waste and recycle expenses, reimbursements, and billing programs for all properties by creating, monitoring, and distributing waste and recycle reports Perform research and analysis for waste, recycle, and sustainability initiatives in Cortland's markets Oversee the relationship between Cortland and third-party management broker relationship The Reporter Create reports weekly, monthly, and ad hoc for waste and recycle programs to help produce optimum results Monitor and report on waste and recycle rates, variances, and usage trends as compared to the waste and recycle budget Perform calculations, trend analysis, and quality control on waste and recycle programs as directed The Right-Hand Person Work with waste and recycle providers and third parties to set up, terminate, and correct accounts Contact community management regularly to verify information and ensure its accuracy in reports to properly support each of the programs and their success Assist with annual budget for waste and recycle fees and expenses Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business The Impact You Can Make The communities and departments you service couldn't be more pleased with your knowledgeable solutions to their waste and recycle problems. Building Blocks of Success Strong 4-6 years of experience in waste management, business, or customer service; experience in community management role preferred Associate's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, related field, or equivalent experience Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing Demonstrated experience in managing projects Capability to apply critical thinking, analysis, problem-solving, and organization skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel Outro At Cortland, we create, reimagine, and manage apartment communities for residents nationwide. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Operations ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
