SUMMARY The Banquet Barback (Ayudante de Barra) ensures that the bartender is prepared during service by handling basic tasks, such as taking and delivering orders, preparing beverages, and cleaning work areas.
Works with the bartender to ensure that our guests will have a great and welcoming experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assists bartender in the setup of bar area.
Ensures that sufficient equipment is on hand so that the area can be neatly maintained.
Is knowledgeable of brands of liquor and spirits available in the bar.
Ensures that the bar/lounge is stocked and re-stocked with clean and sanitized glassware, utensils and all other related supplies.
Responsible for maintaining clean and organized bar pantries, work areas, and tables.
Responsible for the safe, accurate and temperature-controlled storage of all products, supplies and sundries.
Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
Checks in with bartender for instructions as to room where the function is to be held (type of function, number of people, etc.
).
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
QUALIFICATONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Food Handlers Certification.
Previous similar position in top-quality restaurant or hotel is preferred.
Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times.
Ability to be poised under pressure with continued smiles, and maintain a highly diplomatic attitude with challenging guests and under stressful circumstances.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift.
