Job Roles:
Lead medical planning and non-medical efforts for healthcare projects.
Collaborate and coordinate with designers, outsourced architects, specialty consultants and engineers in the production of drawings and specifications.
Develop Schematic plans for new projects, remodels, and renovations.
Participate in and develop presentations for a wide range of meetings and project interviews to upper management.
Lead user groups and stakeholder feedback sessions.
Conduct analyses of long-term healthcare facility needs, and develop solutions involving construction of new facilities and major rehabs of existing facilities.
Be a reliable resource for all architectural items and issues, such as Code, city building department relationships, OSHPD 3 questions and consultant relationships.
Lead team of Design Associate(s) and Project Coordinator.
Work closely with internal construction team.
Manage and develop architectural template documents.
Develop smaller projects inhouse for permitting.
Manage project bidding for projects ranging in size from $25,000 to $30M.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations Graduate from an accredited school of architecture.
Licensed Architect in the State of California.
Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County.
DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:
Requires an active Class C California driver's license, proof of liability insurance at $100,000, on vehicle used.
No more than 2 points in past 12 months; No suspensions in last 2 years for moving violations; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 5 years.
No license revocation in 7 years.
Experience/Specialized skills (including Language) Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare A/E/C industry.
Extensive knowledge and experience of healthcare architecture planning and design.
Extensive experience in ground up tenant improvement projects.
Demonstrated experience and capability of leading a team and making client presentations.
Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with employees, coworkers, and internal departments.
Working knowledge of applicable OSHPD and related healthcare design requirements.
Working knowledge of the latest editions of the CBC, ADAAG, and CALDAG.
Ability to ensure accuracy and completeness to include self-checking of own work.
Ability to multi-task, be flexible, ensure accuracy, and meet changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-workload environment.
Demonstrated ability to be culturally sensitive and respect diversity.
Ability to work closely with others and to use interviewing skills to obtain information to facilitate project designs and ensure drawing clarity.
Proficient in all applicable software & hardware functions currently utilized in the department, and any others as they arise including, Microsoft Office Suite, Auto CAD, Revit etc.
Knowledge of City inner workings when permitting with the ability to contest and challenge comments using building code.

00 If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience.
In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.
Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
