Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served the growing communities of San Diego's coastal North County since 1978.
We offer a full range of clinical and surgical services, including North County's first Primary Stroke Center, a regionally recognized brain injury program, state-of-the-art imaging center, 24-hour emergency room care and award-winning OB-GYN, maternal health and infant health services.
The Quality Coordinator, RN manages publicly reported and other significant quality measures and performance improvement in collaboration with administrative, clinical and physician leadership for their assigned service line.
Performs concurrent review of medical records for core measures and other clinical indicators based on established definitions and provides real-time feedback and intervention with clinical staff and physicians to ensure optimal quality patient care.
Additionally, this RN position abstracts records based on established indicators of the medical staff for peer review for assigned populations; facilitates the peer review process, ongoing physician performance review and decision support for medical staff reappointment.
This is a full-time salaried position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.
Qualifications Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
Minimum of 5 years direct patient care experience within the last 10 years or currently holding a coordinator/leadership level role within an acute care setting.
Requires attention to detail, analytical skills, excellent communication skills and intermediate computer skills.
Previous experience in quality improvement methods and tools preferred.
Knowledge of Core Measures or other publicly reported quality metrics preferred.
Familiarity with Joint Commission standards as they relate to Performance Improvement and/or Medical Staff Quality/Peer review strongly preferred.
Required Certification/Registration:
RN required.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
Training and application of MIDAS or like-data based strongly preferred.
Bachelors degree.
Epic experience.
Recommended Skills Administration Analytical Attention To Detail Clinical Works Communication Critical Care Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
