Job Description:
The COMSEC Custodian assists the Sr.
COMSEC Manager in performing the functions and responsibilities of securing equipment, materials, and information.
The person selected for this position be responsible for the administration of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the NISPOM, DoD IC Manuals, and L3Harris policies and procedures.
The COMSEC Custodian works closely with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to ensure that the facility's security programs are executed effectively and efficiently
Essential Functions:
Assist in the management of all procurement, fielding, and sustainment of Crypto/Keying material and devices.
Establish, maintain, and direct the receipt, custody, transfer, safeguarding, accounting, and destruction/disposition of the COMSEC keying material.
Ensure maximum COMSEC safeguards are in place.
Manage proper accountability, handling, storage, packaging, shipment, and administration of all cryptographic materials, troubleshooting, software upgrades, and system equipment certifications.
Conduct initial and refresher training of all COMSEC users.
Administer initial COMSEC/CRYPTO briefings and debriefings to individual users; maintaining concise records to reflect changes.
Perform COMSEC inventories.
Review annually the requirement for COMSEC material.
Issue COMSEC materials to user activities.
Provide technical and administrative support to COMSEC equipment holders, ensuring proper handling and documentation of policies and procedures.
Ensure COMSEC element accounts comply with NSA policies.
Update and maintain all SOP's for COMSEC activities.
Develop and conduct COMSEC training for users and local elements.
Maintain access list for Controlled/Closed Area designations.
Assist with physical security responsibilities, to include access control, IDS management, and entry/exit inspections.
Assist with Personnel Security functions, to include fingerprinting and employee/visitor badging.
Assist program management in the interpretation, application, and compliance in accordance with Security Classification Guides (SCG's).
Assist the FSO and CPSO to meet NISPOM, SCI, and SAP manual standards.
Participate in government agency audits, reviews, and inspections.
Maintain an understanding of the selected programs' technologies and maintain a thorough understanding of the customers' security requirements.
Must be able to complete the NSA COR COMSEC Course within 6 months of being hired.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
An active security clearance is required, TS with SCI Eligibility Must have completed the National Security Agency (NSA) Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) course, or a Department of Defense (DoD) NSA-approved KMI course Must have experience running a Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) account Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a primary or alternate COMSEC custodian or COMSEC account manager.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Working knowledge of SIMS, DISS, and DIAS Efficient, proactive, responsive team player with excellent written and oral communication skills; able to interface effectively with all levels of corporate management and government customers Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Experience using security management software and applications Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables Hands on, self-starting, disciplined and detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
Working knowledge of the Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), SAP Directives, and Supplement Information system security experience desired In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $66,000 - $123,000.
This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
