Essential Functions:
Ability to read and interpret work specifications, MIL Specs, Installation Drawings, NAVSEA Standard Items 009-03, 009-07, 009-12 Capable of becoming qualified in SMAW (STICK), FCAW (FLUX CORE) GMAW (MIG ALUMINUM) weld procedures for Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum Capable of welding in vertical, horizontal and overhead positions Direct work of Welder Journeymen Helpers and Shipfitters Communicate with other trades to coordinate scheduled work Ensure all work activities are performed in accordance with safety, quality and industry standards Ability to communicate verbally and in written all deviations identified in the specified scope of work Originate Condition Found Reports (CFRs) to the Project Manager Willingness to travel up to 50% Ability to obtain access to Navy ships per Navy D-BIDS requirement
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent, and minimum three (3) years shipboard welding experience Supervisory experience In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $30.

10/hour.
