Forward Slope is seeking a smart and experienced Network Architect with broad knowledge of enterprise networking solutions to help plan, design and implement an advanced network architecture for our US Navy client.
Join us as we help our Navy defend our country and advance the defensive capabilities of our allies.
You will work as part of a small collaborative team in a development lab in San Diego, California, supporting the replacement of a large legacy network with a modernized network overseas.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Design and implementation of complex networking solutions Investigate and recommend security products with a focus on integration of management and monitoring platforms Network design, architecture, management, and deployment of new and existing routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure for multiple datacenter environments Design and deployment of new WAN and VPN connections Research, recommend, and develop innovative and automated approaches to network security monitoring and management Network capacity planning and recommendations for growth Required Qualifications:

years of experience in an engineering role, including performing architecture and design of heterogenous IT environments alongside experience in the following areas:
Experience with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection including modern concepts such as Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) Experience with IPv4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP Experience with network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE) Experience with network security features like IP access-lists and stateful protocol inspections and network management protocols, like SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS Experience with OSPF, DMVPN, SDWAN Experience with Cisco Networking products Ability to diagnose and resolve network hardware and software problems associated with the data center infrastructure Experience with documenting Network Designs Ability to create documents for use in training operations personnel Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent
Qualifications:
Familiarity with Cybersecurity Tools like Splunk, Vectra Networks, Security Onion Familiarity with Virtualization platforms involving Network Function Virtualization and VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V CASP or CISSP Certification Other Requirements:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
