JOB PURPOSE The Sr.
Systems Engineer/ Link Technician will be responsible for providing leadership of the overall TDL team to ensure execution of troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities of all TDL systems within a shipboard and shore lab facility environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY TDL systems technical lead responsible for all day-to-day tasking, activity planning/scheduling with govt leads, and personnel management of small teams Perform on-site technical assists, Casualty Reporting (CASREP) support, and System Operational Verification Tests (SOVT) for multiple Tactical Data Link systems.
Participate in integrated product teams and engineering/design reviews.
Assist design team to perform, prepare, review, analyze, and modify system designs, technical documents and data packages for Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently and provide direct interface with customers.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain TDL systems to include CDLMS, C2PS, LMMT, MOS, and JTIDS Facilitate training courses on previously mentioned TDL systems Construct, test and integrate equipment racks for TDL systems.
Responsible for facilitating training courses for TDL systems and reviewing/updating training curriculums.
Assist with engineering analysis, designing solutions to system obsolete hardware and providing all appropriate documentation and drawings associated with delivery for production.
Other duties as assigned Experience Must have extensive experience with test, analysis, and troubleshooting of complex communications hardware problems for development and/or modification to C4I system hardware components.
Team leadership experience desired Experience in design, installation, integration, and testing of complex communications systems.
Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently and provide direct interface with customers.
Sound knowledge and experience with CDLMS, C2P, NGC2P/JRE, LOS and satellite communications, power supplies, and encryption devices desired.
Experience with commercial and militarized documentation and configuration management.
Four or more years in a C5I or C4I-SR military or DoD environment performing system validation and repair.
Experience with Tactical Data Links and military networks a plus.
CompTIA Security
Certification preferred.
Qualifications and Education Requirements This position requires an existing U.
S.
Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the Secret level.
Individual must be able to maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment.
U.
S.
Citizenship is required.
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from recognized University or should have at least 8 years' experience working with complex communications systems and equipment.
This position requires an existing U.
S.
Government granted personnel security clearance at the Secret level.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be able to travel 30% or as needed.
