Responsibilities/
Job Description:
1) Pick up/delivery courier will drive a company car covered by company auto insurance to various local customer sites to pick up and bring back DNA samples as well as deliver samples daily; 2) Obtain signatures whenever applicable and update courier app with order pick-up and delivery updates; 3) Communicate clearly with the pick-up coordinator, labs and our customer service rep; 4) Assist with matching samples to orders, sorting, and potentially sample measurement in lab; Requirements:
1) Candidate must be very detail oriented, meticulous and have excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills; 2)Candidate must have a clean driving record and must provide a copy of their DMV Driving Record; 3) No courier experience necessary.
Familiarity with UCSD campus and surrounding areas is a big PLUS but NOT a requirement, all routes will be trained for; 4) Must have cell phone for communication (texts/calls) while on pick-up; 5) Bachelor's degree not required; 6) Professional and have a natural sense of urgency; 7) Reliable, accountable and dependable; Shift:
Mon-Fri, 10am-7pm (1 hour lunch break) This is a great opportunity for someone interested in getting into the service side of the biotech scene.
