Job Description:
Assemble hardware of Space products using soldering iron, hotplate, crimping tools, torque driversPosition requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with focus on quality and attention to detail
Essential Functions:
o Ability to read assembly drawings, BOM, wire list, engineering change orders, rework instructions, and process control instructionso Fully proficient individual contributorWorks under limited supervisionMay be a resource to other employees in areas of expertiseAssignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgmento Able to work under Microscopeo Tinning of components using solder poto Hand soldering of SMT, through-hole, fine pitch components, and wiringo General clean up, epoxy, and conformal coatingo Mechanical assembly using torque drivers.
o Good communication skills, both oral and writteno High level of accuracy and strong attention to detailo Plan and execute work schedules in conjunction with hardware schedule requirementso Responsible for the manufacturing of all hardware on one or more product lines.
o Minimum of six years of SMT solder experienceo Familiar with wiring, harness assembly, and coax cable assemblyo Preference will be given to candidates who are certified in J-STD-001 Class 3
Qualifications:
o Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experienceAbility to read documentation, drawings, and process control instructions.
o Experience soldering skills.
o Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearancePreferred Additional Skills:
