Staite is seeking a full time Marine Construction Worker with experience in:
Barge Handling Pile Driving Dredging Concrete Placement Formwork Bulkhead Repair & Construction Responsibilities Understand and work in accordance with overall project schedule and budget Work with project supervisor daily to communicate production goals, quality specifications of work, issues that have surfaced (people, means and methods, material or equipment use, extra or out of scope work, etc.
), and ideas to help achieve project goals Responsible for meeting project milestones and deadlines, maintaining an accurate schedule in conjunction with project superintendent Accurately record and report crew work hours and quantities installed.
Monitor and manage crew productivity.
Ensure ongoing efforts are made to improve productivity Analyze production results and establish appropriate corrective actions, if required Forecast equipment, materials and workforce needs as required Understand the project cost code structure related to your work activities Exercise proper care, maintenance, and operation of company equipment, maintain worksite cleanliness Review of safe work practices with labor force prior to project commencement Holding and documenting daily safety meetings with crew Performing routine safety inspections to ensure OSHA compliance Other duties as assigned Requirements 5
years Dredging/ Pile Driving experience, marine construction preferred (bridges, piers, docks, etc.
) Prioritize safety and awareness at jobsite Knowledge of construction and engineering principles and practices Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and permits Supervisory experience directing and organizing a work crew to foster a team environment able to carry out assigned tasks Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, clients, and the general public at all times Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and communicate in a timely, effective manner Mathematical skills including weights and measures conversions Solid communication skills - oral and written Computer skills a plus Must be able to regularly sit, stand, walk in varying and uneven terrain; occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds Must be willing to work odd hours on occasion, outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends.
Must have a valid U.
S.
