Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Some experience in prototype assembly/lab environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE:
Must be able to understand schematic drawings, and have good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
Familiarity with MS Office a plus.
SKILLS:
All positions require experience with soldering equipment, hand tools, bobbin, toroidal, encapsulation equipment, marking equipment, wire terminating, stripping, bonding, winding, or handling equipment, and basic test equipment such as LCR meters and digital multimeters Must be able to work using a microscope or magnifying lens INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS INTERNAL:
Internal relationships to include frequent interaction with lab personnel, design engineers, marketing staff, and sales personnel.
EXTERNAL:
External relationships may include infrequent contact with suppliers/vendors.

CHALLENGES This position is challenged by satisfying the requirements set forth by the production schedule and customer demands.
Employees are often required to shift focus multiple times during a given day.
May be required to do detailed work on a continual basis.
SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES Complete assembly of prototype and first article modules and top assemblies or the winding of air core, bobbin, and toroidal coils.
Finish parts, encapsulation, varnishing, and marking.
Prepare parts for delivery.
Ensure that products meet time mechanical and visual requirements of the specifications.
Document changes or discrepancies in the parts as to design, specification, and process as they are discovered.
Communicate these findings with the engineer.
Material Kitting - review the bill of materials (BOM) and Quality Per Assembly (QPA) for each lab work order and identify the raw materials required.
Assist the department manager in the upkeep of all lab tools and equipment and proper storage of materials.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
