Transportation Reporting to the Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Loader:
Loads, unloads and transfers merchandise to designated area in accordance with training procedures.
Verify information against bill of lading, invoices and orders.
Stocks merchandise in warehouse to include utilizing equipment and lifting and carrying merchandise to place on shelves.
Inspects merchandise for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
Operates tap gun to seal boxes for shipment or stock daily.
Records all merchandise discrepancies on appropriate paperwork.
Completes inventory preparation for warehouse stock.
Maintains a neat and orderly workplace at all times to include moving pallets, sweeping, and removing/disposing of debris.
Follows safety procedures in accordance with approved training, and reports dangerous conditions to management immediately.
Occasional computer work.
Performs other related warehouse duties as assigned.
Driver:
Transports deliveries locally or over the road according to manifest in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company procedures Picks up merchandise and invoices from warehouse/vendors.
Delivers merchandise to customers in a timely manner.
Ensures delivery of appropriate merchandise in accordance with customer invoices.
Ensures delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition.
Performs daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to management.
Provides good customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company's image.
Relay customer messages/communications to appropriate management.
Returns credit merchandise with appropriate paperwork and informs management of delivery.
Assist with assembling office furniture.
Connecting water lines, changing coffee filters, and various water cooler/office coffee brewer maintenance.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
Work shift:
Monday-Friday, 5:
00am - 1:
30pm; times subject to change.
Expectations:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous driving experience, preferably at least 3 year Proof of valid CA Driver's License Clean driving record Previous warehouse experience (order pulling/picking), preferably at least 2 years Basic Computer Skills (MS Office) Accurate data entry Must be able to read and count accurately, do simple math Excellent multi-tasking skills Must be able to operate a forklift, pallet jack and order picker Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
