This is in the Carmel Mountain/Poway area of San Diego, California.
We have an immediate opening to work for a Female as a live-in Support Person You will have your own bedroom and bathroom.
Free rent, plus compensation.
The Ideal candidate has enthusiasm, energy, consistency, patience and/or maturity; has knowledge of Down Syndrome, can demonstrate person-centered behavioral management skills and is supportive of the special needs of Down Syndrome individuals.
Responsibilities include supporting hygiene, assisting the client with changing ostomy bag, cooking, cleaning, household management skills, and life skills with verbal and visual prompts as well as role modeling.
Must be able to help schedule and take Client to medical appointments.
Live-in roommate will also nurture and develop community connections, work toward independence goals, cultivate hobbies, and more.
