We are looking to fill Inpatient Nurse position as soon as possible.
Direct supervision is provided by Medical Director and Clinical Director on an ongoing basis.
The Detox Nurse is responsible for assisting and overseeing clients in their daily schedules within the facilities policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards of the State and Federal regulations.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
This position oversees client medications via monitoring, assessing clients for behavioral health and drug and alcohol withdraws, builds rapport with clients, follow-up on medications and doctor appointments.
Follow Physicians instructions on detox protocol and procedures.
Monitor clients physical and emotional wellbeing; vital signs checks Document and report on client's status to team members Assist clients with all medications via monitoring medications as directed by the appropriate/assigned health care professional (i.
e.
Medical Director, Clinical Director, Doctor, etc.
) Attend job-related meetings, in-service training, staff development training, participates in team problem solving methods, building rapport, responds to requests, and maintains a cooperative relationship among the health care team by communicating information Assists the treatment team in incorporating medical issues into treatment planning.
Facilitates medication education for new clients and for all other clients starting new medications.
Ensure the clients follow treatment schedule.
Responsible for understanding requirements for documenting in client Electronic Medical Record Performs additional duties, as deemed necessary, by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Safety Management / Infection / Risk Management.
Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
Demonstrates Proficiency in Verbal and in Written Communication Skills Current RN license in State of California is required.
CPR and First Aid Certified.
