Nurse (Labor & Delivery) with Security Clearance

Dutieso Assess, plan, implement and evaluate complicated and routine obstetric and neonatal patients who require close observation for subtle changes in condition.
o Monitor, evaluate and document the status of laboring patients.
o Assist physicians and nurse midwives in examination and treatment in the delivery room.
o Provide post anesthesia care.
o Educate patients and family members on newborn, postpartum and pre and post-operative careRequirements Conditions of Employmento Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
o This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employmentA background investigation and credit check are required.
o This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
o Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
o This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testingSelectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
