200541675The Performance team is looking for a QA engineer with strong coding and testing skills. You will develop test strategy and plans for feature areas, automate test cases, and run automation to qualify Apple products. You will be joining a dynamic global team responsible for delivering the best-of-class performance for across Apple platforms!
Key QualificationsStrong coding skills in C/C++, Objective C/Swift or JavaExcellence in a scripting language (such as Python)QA knowledge & experience is strongly preferredSolid debugging and problem solving skillsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent communication skills in English, both oral and writtenExperience with performance testing is strongly preferredDescriptionResponsibilities include writing and maintaining automated tests of power consumption, as well as post-processing and reporting of test results. You will also be responsible for running tests, analyzing test results against expectations, and debugging observed battery life issues. You'll be running many different tests at a time across many different scenarios and need to keep careful track of the results - as well as the creativity and initiative to help us proactively identify new opportunities to improve our workflow.
Education & ExperienceBachelors or Masters degree in CS/CE or equivalent REQUIRED.
Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $125,800.00 and $229,400.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
