Key QualificationsStrong programming skills with C/C++.Solid understanding of multithreading and concurrency fundamentalsFamiliarity with Media Playback fundamentals, audio and/or video streamingExperience with networking protocols, and network clocking3
years industry experienceDescriptionAs an AirPlay engineer, you will be responsible for prototyping breakthrough ideas, developing features, contributing to systems design, analyzing performance in the foundations of AirPlay technology. You will build the future of AirPlay.
To be successful in this role, you need to be versatile and able to thrive in a fast paced environment. You must be a team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, excellent judgment, integrity and the ability to make timely and sound decisions. You must have strong technical and programming skills, and a solid understanding of multithreaded programming and programming on realtime systems. You have a background in Video or Audio technologies and have a good understanding of the various media formats. Experience with performance analysis and optimizations is a plusEducation & ExperienceBS/MS in Computer Science or equivalentPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
