The Core Accessories Services team is looking for a software engineer to work on Apple platforms; iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS.
The candidate will be expected to design and implement platform level features as related to restoring/syncing Apple devices and accessories. In addition, the candidate will be expected to interact on a cross functional level with multiple teams with a critical influence on hardware and software design.Key QualificationsFluent in CProficient in or desire to learn Objective-C and SwiftExperience developing daemons and frameworksPassion for accessoriesStrong written and verbal communication skillsCreative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skillsAbility to deliver solid work on tight schedulesDescriptionDevelop wired and wireless accessory features, protocols, and technologies. Tool development for feature simulation, verification and system-level troubleshooting. Document code and create workable specifications including quantifiable system performance characteristics.Education & ExperienceBS CE/EE/CS (or equivalent)Additional RequirementsFluent in Objective-CFluent in SwiftExperience with Apple fundamentals such as GCD and XPCExperience engineering IoT productsExperience with iOS accessory frameworks such as HomeKit, CoreBluetooth.Solid understanding of networking protocolsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,200 and $198,100 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
