We are looking for someone who can lead the charge on quality of various Core I/O and accessory management technologies. Successful candidate will need to work with cross-functional teams across Apple to proactively develop and drive overall test planning, execution and quality reporting for various areas of responsibility. The nature of the position requires the candidate to possess excellent communication and problem solving skills, along with a drive to make a difference. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, creative, motivated, and results driven.Key QualificationsSolid OS fundamentalsExperience with Python and C programmingHighly motivated, creative, and organizedStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to ramp up quickly on new and existing technologiesDescriptionOwn overall testing and quality for I/O technologies:
Thunderbolt, USB, PCIe, and Ethernet
Design, develop, and own automated tests for new and existing technologies
Investigate and analyze issues spanning across the hardware and software interaction layers
Work closely with engineering and project management team to ensure quality releases
Education & ExperienceBS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/skillsAdditional RequirementsPreferred:
Experience with developing, testing or debugging device drivers, firmware or other low level softwareKnowledge/experience with OOP principlesExperience in working with I/O technologies (USB, PCIe, Display technologies etc.)Knowledge/experience with Unix shell or other scripting languagesPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
