Server Administrator - Contract in San Diego Key Words: Server Administrator, Administrator, Windows Server, Windows Platforms, SAN, NAS, Active Directory, VMware, Virtualization, SQL, TCP/IP, MCSE. Businesstaff has been retained by a San Diego County client to locate them a Server Administrator in a long-term contract role. The Server Administrator installs, administers, and optimizes enterprise level Servers in a high performance manufacturing architecture environment. Job duties include, but are not limited to: - Maintaining server environment 99.9% uptime. - Active Directory administration. - VMWare administration. - Disaster recovery and planning. - Creating and maintaining server procedure documentation. Qualifications, Education and Experience: REQUIRED:- Bachelor's degree in IT or other relevant discipline and 2 years in server administration; OR Associate's degree or technical diploma/degree and 4 years experience; OR High School diploma and 6 years of Enterprise level IT experience. - Must have hands-on experience with IBM and Dell Servers. - Experience with Windows Server 2003, 2008 and other operating systems. - Strong knowledge of VMware. - Working knowledge of storage technologies, such as: SAN or NAS, Active Directory/Global Catalogue. - Knowledge of Windows platform(s), as well as MS SQL, Oracle relational database(s), and virtualization systems. PREFERRED:- 2 Windows Certifications, ie, MCSE/DBA. - Virtualization Administrator or equivalent certification/experience. - Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of server hardware and associated network equipment, including: SCSI, RAID, and I/O topology. - Familiarity with TCP/IP and other network protocols and operating system configurations. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
