We currently have a Web-Master & Advertising Administrator career opportunity at our All About Vision San Diego, CA location.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of the Web-Master & Advertising Administrator is to maintain all technical aspects of the AllAboutVision.com website and maintain all advertising operations. This position will work closely with the editorial and graphic design staff to update the website and create necessary add-ons. The administrator will be responsible for keeping the site updated, adding articles, accompanying the site with the necessary graphics, slide shows, videos etc.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day responsibility for content additions to the site including articles and accompanying graphics, slide shows, video, etc.
Work with editorial staff and graphic designer on updates and site additions.
Keep site running smoothly and error-free.
Work with team to develop improvements in site functionality and resulting user satisfaction.
Rigorously perform ongoing content checks on all platforms (desktop, tablets, smartphones).
Develop ways to improve functionality, user-friendliness, and page load speed.
Manage and implement eventual site redesign with the goal of fully responsive design.
Project-manage and build paid advertorials and sponsored sections.
Perform intra-site linking and other on-site SEO activities.
Manage digital asset organization including archiving of discontinued content as needed.
Mentor staff members who will provide part-time assistance with article updating.
Document methods, practices and code.
Implement clients' digital advertising campaigns on AllAboutVision.com, utilizing DFP and in-house ad server.
Identify and recommend/implement technical strategies for problem-free ad serving across browsers, screen sizes and platforms.
Troubleshoot technical operations of ad delivery.
EDUCATION AND
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in ID, UX, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Web Design or related field, or equivalent experience and/or certificates.
Experience with, and deep understanding of, responsive web development and design.
High level of proficiency with HTML, CSS, PHP, javascript, Dreamweaver and cPanel.
Understanding of Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools.
Experience with content management systems.
Experience with streaming media.
Experience in digital advertising implementation.
Experience with Google's DFP and ad serving platforms.
PhotoShop proficiency is a plus.
Must be innovative and enjoy seeking ways to improve internal processes through code and automation.
Experience with 3rd party advertising is required.
Exceptionally detail-oriented, error-averse and a problem solver.
Able to multi-task and complete tasks with deadlines in mind.
Comfortable adopting new software/applications and assisting others in learning.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required; both verbal and written.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
