Summary:
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for conducting transactional reviews in accordance with regulatory, state, agency, investor specific and/or departmental requirements to ensure compliance in the assigned product focus area(s). The focus area for this position is specific to servicing functions of unsecured consumer loans, credit cards and/or real estate secured transactions, as well as Call Monitoring. Some additional experience in both secured and unsecured servicing preferable but not required. Ensure the highest level of compliance to regulatory, state, bank, departmental guidelines, and agency/investor requirements. Conduct Call Monitoring reviews to ensure compliance with all regulatory and state law requirements.

Responsibilities:
Conduct account life cycle servicing process reviews.
Assist in the design and editing of test questions.
Maintain and create desktop procedures and tracking logs.
Conduct recorded call monitoring reviews in accordance with sample methodology.
Accurate scoring of calls monitored, and follow all Bank established procedures.
Write clear, concise and persuasive findings and maintain required documentation supporting level of risk and issue identified.
Provide feedback, diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
Route exceptions to the appropriate person for handling. Follow up with the staff on the correction of exceptions.
Seek continuous improvement by recommending changes to procedures and workflow.
Investigate, evaluate and determine causes of the effectiveness and efficiency of the department controls and make recommendations to augment the controls when applicable.
Identify risk and recommend changes to management to reduce overall risk.
With the assistance of QC management, recommend and implement updates to ensure deficiencies are corrected, and audit standards are compiled while not sacrificing efficiencies.
Prepares written reports of quality control audits including findings, analyses, conclusions and recommended actions.
Provide assistance to internal business partners and staff with questions, concerns, and discrepancies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
3-5 years of experience in the area(s) of unsecured and/or real estate secured quality control, quality assurance or audit.
Requires practical quality control, audit or quality assurance experience in unsecured consumer, credit cards and/or real estate servicing.
Vast understanding of regulatory, state, departmental and investor requirements.
Thorough understanding of unsecured consumer and real estate account servicing and terminology, federal regulations, agency requirements and quality control/audit standards.
Must be knowledgeable in areas of unsecured loan servicing, i.e. credit cards, unsecured consumer loans, cash reserve account and/or real estate secured audit requirements.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume work environment and assist in meeting department goals.
Ability to work independently and multi-task with minimal oversight by management.
Possess sound judgment, decision-making and risk assessment skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
