Summary:
Supports product development and revenuemanagement for retail credit card products (small business or consumer).Support retail bank growth strategy to acquire households and deepen relationshipsto build balances and optimize product profitability.
Major
Responsibilities:
15% Develop product strategy for retail creditcard products (small business or consumer). Leverage existing capabilities andidentify product gaps based on competitive assessment and opportunities.Responsible for ensuring the product strategy is aligned with the Retail Bankstrategies. Works closely with finance, marketing, operations servicing, complianceand risk areas of the Bank. 60% Responsible for managing the existing productline and the development and launch of new products, features andfunctionality. Manages the revenue stream for assigned products used by retailcustomers. Manages the product profitability and develops tactics to improveprofitability and performance through product design and pricing discipline.Measures and tracks the financial performance volumes against established goals.Responsible for competitive market research, analysis of competitive and marketforces and ongoing assessment of internal strengths and weaknesses. Developpricing recommendations. Ensure the product development and enhancements complywith the bank's Product Development Policy (PDP) Responsibilities andRequirements. Determine training gaps and lead efforts with Training to addressneeds. Has a key role in managing the IT systems development of new andenhancement of existing products. Has key responsibility in managing theproject from conception to implementation. 15% Responsible for working with theMarketing team to develop marketing plans for retail credit card products(consumer or small business) to drive acquisition or retain existinghouseholds. 10% Management of product disclosures to ensure they are accurate andin compliance with all regulations relating to the products supported.
Additional Information:
Requires a minimum 5 years of direct workexperience as a product manager in a financial services organization preferably with a focus oncredit card products. Knowledge of First Dataprocessing platform a plus. Must have direct work experience in developing anddriving product initiatives from start to finish, from recommendation topost-rollout measurement. Strong analytics, strategic and critical thinking andcustomer empathy are required. Effective team work, interpersonal andorganizational skills. A comprehensive understanding of product and project managementpractices. Proven ability to interact and influence executive management.Requires excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Requires computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint).BA isstrongly preferred. MBA is a plus.
