Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Project Manager is a high visibility position that manages process standardization, planning and project management activities within the Supply Chain Organization.
This position is critical to business-wide logistics, planning and procurement process support; including responsibilities to lead, manage and oversees all aspects of implementing solutions in one or more of the following process areas:
Purchasing
Requisition to Pay
Shipping/Receiving
Transportation Management
Inventory Management
Production & Supply Chain Planning
The Supply Chain Project Manager will be required to effectively collaborate with internal and external business partners to identify process improvement opportunities, develop detailed options and lead effective implementations by applying a disciplined, logical and comprehensive approach to problem solving. Will also provide direction to Supply Chain and Operations Management in order to effectively propose and collaborate on developing opportunities
This position is responsible for managing the development, communication, and training associated with the metrics for the Supply Chain group. Working closely with the business, define the metric and gain consensus of definitions/specifications as well as format. Apply data based analysis to assist the business in improving key performance indicators.
The Supply Chain Project Manager continually assesses current and required work flows and business processes for designing and implementing improvements to maximize efficiencies
Relationship Management
Supports Supply Chain and business unit leaders with on-going operations across businesses and focused work efforts that result in a positive operational impact
Works with supply chain process stakeholders in Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Customer Service and Marketing to ensure business continuity
Liaises with business units when developing and / or changing policies, programs or processes
Facilitates and coaches others in the preparation of presentations for leaders; e.g. develops presentations that provide analytical insight and recommendations on standardization and process improvement
Completes activities necessary to accomplish the expected outcomes of multiple projects as assigned
Maintains overall accountability for documentation, status reporting and work planning
Continuous Improvement
Initiates, coordinates, and leads Continuous Improvement Teams
Identifies, initiates and completes continuous improvement projects
Identifies and implements best-practice techniques in the areas of ABC analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting to maintain raw, finished and service inventories at optimal levels
Ability to utilize/develop SAP reports to analyze inventory positions that lead to actionable recommendations
Works with business units and process integrators to identify and implement process and system improvements
Other
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to create as well as deliver effective presentations
Ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires critical thinking and strong analytical skills
Exhibits enthusiasm, positive professional attitude, integrity, reliability, and leadership
Technical skills and effective data management are required, specifically the ability to develop complex modeling/reporting in Excel, work with relational databases in MS Access, and create effective presentations in Power Point
Advanced level user of SAP with the ability to use the SAP business warehouse
Advanced in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Focus and interest in identifying, learning and implementing new tools and technologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business related field required
Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a global supply chain environment
Minimum 2 years' experience in project management or supporting large scale projects
Demonstrated knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools including; value stream mapping, fishbone diagrams, FMEA, pareto analysis, cost benefit analysis, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership, people skills and high ethical standards
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Management, Operations or Industrial Engineering
Demonstrated record of successfully managing complex projects
Lean Six Sigma experience and or certification preferred
Project management certification, strongly preferred
Working knowledge of S&OP process
Advanced level user of SAP preferred
