Description:
CBS Radio San Diego seeks a full-time Promotions Coordinator to assist in the execution & fulfillment of all Sales & Marketing promotions for the San Diego cluster (KyXy & KEGY-FM). The position requires daily maintenance of a prize-winner database, station prize fulfillments and the completion of required documentation associated with this task and company compliance. Qualified applicants will have strong attention to detail, exceptional problem solving skills, and a unique sense of resourcefulness.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Administration of all department paperwork inclusive of contest rules, contracts, invoices, purchase orders, and certificates of insurance
Create proposals for contests and prize giveaways
Schedule and write copy for on-air promotional mentions, as well as for the station websites, social media pages, and newsletters
Schedule and execute all contesting and prize fulfillment
Provide details and copy to the Programming department for all weekly and weekend contests/promotions
Maintain an open line of communication with the Sales department to assure sales promotions are executed correctly
Assist in managing and scheduling all part-time Promotions Assistants
Provide appropriate information to the event Lead for on-site events
Respond to all listener inquiries
Attend all Promotions Meetings
Attend all major station events
Provide break coverage for Receptionists as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong communication, copy writing, and time management skills are essential.
Ability to adhere to tight deadlines, improvise, and adapt to change at a moment's notice.
Competency to manage several projects at once with exceptional attention to detail.
Computer aptitude with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator and Word Press.
Social media savvy.
Must be available for occasional weekend or evening events.
Preferred:
Strong knowledge of the station's brand, lifestyle and culture, with an understanding of the demographic and competitive landscape of the San Diego market.
Knowledge of Promo Suite is a plus.
Radio or related broadcast industry experience is preferred.
