Description:
Engility is seeking a Help Desk Representative to support our Joint Range Extension Help Desk program in San Diego, CA.
The Help Desk Rep will be responsible for defining system requirements and requirements for interoperability as well as designing and performing system tests to identify problems and provide enhancements.
The Rep will also perform verification and validation of resolutions to ensure problems are resolved and enhancements applied & support users by evaluating and analyzing their system problems and providing immediate 'work-around' solutions and/or corrections to the reported problems, recommending corrections to these problems, and ensuring the implementation of the correction was appropriate.
Additional duties:
Develops computer systems specifications that address requirements and fit within established/forecasted architecture standards; Establishes and documents system parameters and format, ensures hardware and software system compatibility and coordinates for parameter modifications as needed; Revises existing systems and procedures (or recommends such changes) to correct deficiencies to ensure more effective data handling; Provides functional analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software; Participates in the development of test strategies, devices and systems.
Investigates and resolves routine software, hardware, network problems or other computer-related technologies of the Cross Domain Solutions Suite (CDSS); Evaluates and prioritizes incoming phone calls, e-mail and other requests for assistance from end users experiencing system problems.
May simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
Collects information about problems and leads users through simple diagnostic procedures to determine source of error.
May include preparation of statistical reports of user problems; Logs and tracks calls and maintains history records related to problem documentation; Performs problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine user problems.
May interact with engineering staff to identify and correct core problems; Provide on-site installation and training of CDSS systems and ancillary equipment in formal classroom environments, as well as at user locations.
May be required to travel overseas to support fielding, exercises or training.
Qualifications:
U.
S.
Citizen with an Active Secret Level Security Clearance 5 years experience working within Multi-TDN 5 years experience testing and evaluating tactical data system and their hardware
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related scientific or technical discipline 5-10 years of experience working within Multi-TDN Experience working within the JICC as an ICO or JICO EEO Statement:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
