Linux kernel PCI Driver Engineer

Seeking a Linux kernel PCI Driver Engineer for next-generation Medical Imaging Robotics Company in San Diego, CA Client is a global leading 3D vision based industrial robotic inspection device research, development and manufacturing company.
We are looking for an motivated smart engineer who will work on developing PCIe Linux kernel device driver, building HAL (Hardware abstraction layer) in common sw platform running in x86 64.
He will be a member of common sw platform design group and maintaining current and future product hardware interface and developing kernel driver for additional hardware.
Responsibilities Design and implementing common hardware abstraction layer in sw platform.
Design flexible and scalable SW - HW devices mapping and configuration sw interface.
Developing custom PCIe device driver for Linux x86 64 or ARM host.
Works with Electronics Engineer, Mechanics engineers and SW engineers to identify requirements and problems and find solutions.
Developing debug, analysis and diagnostic tools for hardware engineers.
Understanding meaning of time to market and deliver software solution in scheduled time.
Must Have Skillsets 3
years of experience in developing Linux kernel device driver or embedded system device driver development Expertise in working with development tools, debugging tools, configuration management tools.
Experience in developing device driver or BSP for any operating system.
Experience in building common hardware abstraction layer between drivers and applications.
Experience in working with large scale of software development group.
Experience in working with EE and ME to get and interpret their requirements to sw features and deliver software solution Location:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
