Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Develop and maintain effective relationships with others; may include effectively dealing with individuals who are difficult, hostile, or distressed; relates well to people from varied backgrounds and different situations. Maintain the appointment calendar, schedule appointments, remind supervisor/staff members of the subject matter prior to meetings, and make administrative arrangements as required. Coordinate action items by way of internal tracking system and ensures timely delivery. Ability to interpret policies and procedures and relay information to staff. Process and track credentialing and privileging requests of staff members. Post employee/contracted personnel time and attendance on a daily basis utilizing VA computerized timekeeping software as required. Prepare and submit clinic cancellation requests in applicable systems. Maintain familiarity with other administrative positions in order to provide cross coverage, as needed. Utilize computer software programs e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel. Maintain security or confidentiality of records, equipment, or computer access. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
performing office automation duties using software applications, track/organize/review data, schedule appointments and/or time keeping. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have 4 years of education above the high school level (transcripts required). OR, Combination:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
