IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK)

Monitor and analyze unauthorized activity on classified and unclassified servers, workstations, and networks. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. The incumbent is required to collaborate and meet with person-to-person work relationships are for the purpose of giving policy matters. Excellent oral and written communication skills required to provide clear and concise reports, briefs, and recommendations suitable for presentation to senior leadership. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
Provides guidance, support, and technical expertise on NC3 hardware/software required to bring systems into regulatory compliance. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have qualifying experience in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as following:
Experience with Department of Defense Host Based Security System including Hardware, Software Infrastructure, Client Module Deployment, and related Modules such as McAfee Agent, Antivirus, Host Intrusion Prevention System, Data Loss Prevention, Policy Auditor and related communication ports and protocols. Experience utilizing endpoint product deployment processes, to include development, testing, and final product rollout. Experience with application deployment, to include custom signature creation, testing, exclusion, and troubleshooting. Experience with firewall policy implementation and troubleshooting. Experience performing event log analysis. Experience utilizing advanced application of Splunk, Enterprise Architecture and Administration. This position is within the Work Category:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
