com to apply! SUMMARY Global Asset Technologies (GAT) is seeking three Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic for the Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command based out of Coronado, CA.
Paramedics needed at various locations to support student training evolutions.
Locations include:
La Posta, CA, Niland, CA and San Clemente Island, CA.
These positions are anticipated to start in October 2020.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.
Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a clearance required Provide medical coverage for all physical training evolutions to include aquatic and outdoor training evolutions.
Paramedics shall streamline medical screening/clearing process.
Obtain and maintain thorough knowledge, understanding and application of all required Naval Special Warfare medical protocols.
Inventory, sign for and maintain accountability of issued medical equipment and supplies.
Respond to emergencies and incidents as required to resolve the situation in accordance with standard medical procedures and military protocols.
Stabilize, treat and transport injured students as required to provide appropriate medical care.
Plan, coordinate and brief daily medical plans and procedures to ensure that all training evolutions are supported.
Appropriately document and communicate all treatment provided with medical authorities and Instructor staff.
Maintain control and accountability of all personally identifiable information (PII), medical chits and medical records.
Plan, coordinate and conduct daily sick call for students; coordinate and communicate requirements with unit medical staff.
Assist with medical screening and in-processing; review student medical surveys and other data.
Provide subject matter expertise, at the EMT-B level, to staff and students, including injury prevention and mitigation.
Perform any relevant medical duty in the course of physical and aquatic training modules.
Maintain physical fitness condition commensurate with field duties and treating and transporting injured students in a high-paced environment.
Paramedics shall perform any relevant medical duty in support of Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION Required (Minimum)
Qualifications Education:
Shall have appropriate level(s) of education and certification to perform the required function - at a minimum, shall possess a High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Have three (2) years of EMT-B experience within last five (5) years.
Certifications/Licenses Current EMT Basic Certification in CA.
Current Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification.
Maintain registration as an American Red Cross and/or American Heart CPR/FIRST AID Instructor.
Maintain an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS).
Required to maintain certifications and complete Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours.
Valid US Driver's license Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook) Preferred Military experience 5 years experience EMT - Paramedic PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.
